Who we are and what these terms cover
These terms govern your use of the Monita website and platform, operated by IHG Mental Health Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, trading as Monita. By using the site or creating an account, you accept these terms.
The platform including the self-help library, check-ins, courses and resources is currently free of charge.
What Monita is, and what it is not
Monita currently provides clinician-reviewed educational and self-help content.
While we are launching our clinical services in 2027, our platform does not currently provide medical advice, diagnosis, therapy or treatment, and our platform is not an emergency or crisis service.
The Medical Disclaimer forms part of these terms.
Nothing on the platform creates a clinician–patient relationship.
Your account
You must be 18 or over to create an account. Keep your login details confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account. You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts used in breach of these terms.
Acceptable use

Use the platform for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Do not copy, scrape, republish or resell our content without written permission.

Do not upload or post anything unlawful, harmful, abusive or misleading, or interfere with the platform's operation or security.

Where community or comment features exist, be respectful; we may moderate and remove content and follow our escalation procedures, including where safety concerns arise.
Content and intellectual property
All platform content — text, courses, videos, tools, the Monita name, marks and designs — belongs to IHG Mental Health Limited or its licensors. Printable resources marked for download may be used for personal, non-commercial purposes with attribution retained. Course certificates confirm completion of an educational course only; they are not a clinical or professional qualification.
Check-ins and self-assessment tools
Check-ins are educational self-reflection tools based on recognised questionnaires. Results are indicative only, are not a diagnosis, and no decision about your health should be based on them alone. If a result worries you, speak to a qualified professional — the platform shows you where to turn. You can sign up to our newsletter to be notified of when we launch our clinical services.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep the platform available and accurate but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend or withdraw features, and will give reasonable notice of material changes affecting account holders. Content is reviewed on the dates shown on each item.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that, the platform is currently provided free of charge and 'as is'; we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on content contrary to the Medical Disclaimer, for events outside our reasonable control, or for indirect losses. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

Links to external sites and helplines are provided in good faith; we verify helpline details periodically but are not responsible for third-party services or content.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales — without limiting mandatory consumer or data protection rights you hold in your country of residence.
